I highly recommend the KM Player not only because it is free, has a cool minimalist design, and supports multiple codecs (plays almost any media file), but also because it has a cool function that lets you adjust the playback speed of videos without changing the tone.
This is great for me because I can glean information from videos (Tedtalks, Youtube, etc.) at up to three times the regular speed. It is also great for my students because they can decrease the speed of difficult video texts to increase their listening comprehension.Review: KMPLAYER REVIEW
